A glimpse into what you can expect during Eat Local Season:
– 13th annual Chef’s Potluck – Save the Date and plan to join us at a socially-distant, COVID-safe fundraiser at the Bend on June 6, 4 – 7 p.m. Every purchase of a 10×10′ “pod” (up to 4 people / pod) will be all-inclusive, with a Potluck Basket of food prepared by a stellar local chef, local beverages and sweets. Enjoy live music by the Marshgrass Mamas featuring Cary Ann Hearst and Sly & The Family Stone Tribute Band while taking in a beautiful view of the Ashley River and celebrating the bounty we have here in the Lowcountry. Tickets will launch in late April. Join the Facebook event and stay informed of all the upcoming details! Interested in volunteering? Sign up here.
– Eat Local Challenge – Pledge to shift 10%+ of your weekly food spending to local food sources for the first month of the campaign, May! This year’s campaign includes rad prizes for those who prove that they’re shifting their spending by submitting receipts along the way. You can sign up now to be a part of the Challenge. And don’t worry, we’ll make it super easy and fun to eat local by providing loads of resources, recipes and market information.
–Local Socials are Back!
